The Kidysafe® is a paediatric immobiliser for transporting children in ambulances.  The device consists of a sheet body and two straps to fix it to the stretcher.  The strap length can be adjusted to fit different trolleys.  In addition to the trolley fixation straps, the device has straps to secure the child.  These straps have a five point centralised fixation and closure system arranged over the patient’s abdominal area in order that the child can be removed from the device as quickly as possible by activating the central closure mechanism.  As a result, it is an extremely simple and easy to position device to fit to trolleys.
